Join us for our Bend April Happy Hour, where we will be picking out recipes from our April book Make It Japanese by Rie McClenny!

We will have copies of the books for folks to peruse, swap laughs and cooking tips, and pick a recipe to make for our Dinner Party on March 19th! (Note: please register for the dinner party here to reserve your spot at the dinner before the happy hour - we have been selling out!)

As always, the happy hour is also an opportunity to bring cookbooks to swap with fellow cookbook lovers - so if you have any cookbooks you’re looking to give a new home, bring ‘em!

About Our April Book:

After reading seven different Japanese cookbooks, I landed on this gem: “Make it Japanese” by Rie McClenny! I was very focused on finding a book that highlighted the joy and simplicity of Japanese cooking in a way that is accessible to any cooking background with easy-to find ingredients. Rie has done exactly that in this book - she translates her own journey from Japan to the U.S. as a chef and recipe developer in a beautiful, approachable way. The book is focused on everyday meals and is the perfect, unintimidating, introduction to Japanese cuisine!
