Bend April Planning Happy Hour: "Made in India"
Join us for our April Bend Planning Happy Hour, where we will be picking out recipes from “Made in India” by Meera Sodha!
We will have copies of the book for folks to peruse, swap laughs and cooking tips, and pick a recipe to make for the dinner! We will also have a totally optional cookbook exchange at the planning happy hour - so if you have any cookbooks you’d like to swap with other folks, bring them to the event!
If you can’t make it to the happy hour, you can still join the cooking fun for the dinner. A “Dinner Menu” sign-up sheet with recipe options will be circulated via email to everyone that has registered for the dinner on Friday, April 18th. Make sure to register as soon as possible so you get a recipe and a spot at the table!
When: Wednesday April 16th, 4:30pm - 6pm - swing by anytime!
Where: Waypoint BBC (in The Grove Building), 921 Northwest Mount Washington Drive, Bend, OR 97703
If you’d like to buy the book (not required to participate!), we suggest ordering it from Roundabout Books through their website or by giving them a call!
About our April Book:
A recommendation from member Melinda Lee, “Made In India” is an accessible, wonderful love story to Indian cuisine. Meera shares the recipes she grew up eating every day, with vibrant flavors that are surprisingly approachable and easy to make. On the menu is a wide variety of incredible dishes, from beet and feta samosas, to kachumbar salad, to spinach and salmon curry, and even a mango, lime and passion fruit jello. Yum!!
