Bend May Dinner Party: "Maydan"
Join us for our Bend May Dinner Party hosted by Flights Wine Bar! We will be cooking from Rose Previte’s debut cookbook, “Maydan”!
The word “maydan” means “gathering place” - symbolizing to author Rose Previte how food brings us together and everyone can add a personal twist! Rose’s debut cookbook explores bold flavors and accessible, shareable recipes spanning from Lebanon to Morocco, from Oman to the Republic of Georgia. Many of the recipes and techniques were imparted to Rose by home cooks whom she learned from during her travels across the Middle East!
How Jill’s Cookbook Club Dinner Party Works:
Step #1: Pick a Recipe! You don’t need to buy the book to participate. First dibs on recipes goes to folks that come to the Planning Happy Hour, where there will be several copies of the book to select your recipe. After the Planning Happy Hour, the “Dinner Menu” will be emailed out to everyone who has registered for the dinner - and it will have links to available recipes and a sign-up sheet for you to select the one that calls to you!
Step #2: Come to the Dinner! You do not need to bring silverware or plates - just bring your dish as-written and whatever utensil you need to serve it!
Step #3: Have FUN and enjoy a truly absurd amount of delicious food while hanging with fellow food lovers! Beverages (including amazing wine) will be available for purchase.
When: Sunday May 19th, 6 - 8pm
Where: Flights Wine Bar, 1444 NW College Way, Bend, OR 97703
The dinner is $25/per person to cover the cost of the venue. Please register and pay in advance below - space is limited to 40 people!
If you’d like to buy the book (not required to participate!) we recommend ordering from Roundabout Books - you can do so on their website or by giving them a call!
