Bend May Planning Happy Hour: "Maydan"
Join us for our May Bend Planning Happy Hour, where we will be picking out recipes from Rose Previte’s debut cookbook, Maydan! We will have copies of the book for folks to peruse, swap laughs and cooking tips, and pick a recipe to make for the dinner! We will also have a totally optional cookbook exchange at the planning happy hour - so if you have any cookbooks you’d like to swap with other folks, bring them to the event!
If you can’t make it to the happy hour, you can still join the cooking fun for the dinner. A “Dinner Menu” sign-up sheet with recipe options will be circulated via email to everyone that has registered for the dinner. Make sure to register as soon as possible so you get a recipe and a spot at the table - space is limited!
When: Wednesday May 8th, 4:30pm - 6pm - swing by anytime!
Where: Waypoint BBC (in The Grove Building), 921 Northwest Mount Washington Drive, Bend, OR 97703
About Our May Book, “Maydan”:
The word “maydan” means “gathering place” - symbolizing to author Rose Previte how food brings us together and everyone can add a personal twist! Rose’s debut cookbook explores bold flavors and accessible, shareable recipes spanning from Lebanon to Morocco, from Oman to the Republic of Georgia. Many of the recipes and techniques were imparted to Rose by home cooks whom she learned from during her travels across the Middle East!
If you’d like to buy the book (not required to participate!), we suggest ordering it from Roundabout Books through their website or by giving them a call!
