Bend January Dinner Party: Big Heart, Little Stove!
Join us for the first Bend Dinner Party of the year, cooking from Erin French’s Big Heart, Little Stove!
About January’s Book, “Big Heart, Little Stove:
The reason I chose “Big Heart, Little Stove” to kick of the 2024 year is because Erin French’s cooking is simple, honest, and comforting - calling upon you to look for the small, every-day ways to slow down with your loved ones and enjoy nurturing food together. I don’t know about you all, but that is exactly what I need after a very hectic holiday season. I find myself intrigued with each page of this book - which are filled with recipes like Pecorino Puffs (I’ll take 20!), Potato and Lentil Soup with Bacon and Herbs, and Pickle-Brined Roast Chicken. I think that each recipe will make a stand-out dish at our potluck dinner, but also blend harmoniously to make a cohesive feast. I am so excited to cook through this book together!
How It Works:
Step #1: Pick a Recipe! You don’t need to buy the book to participate. First dibs on recipes goes to folks that come to the Planning Happy Hour, where there will be several copies of the book to select your recipe. After the Planning Happy Hour, the “Dinner Menu” will be emailed out to everyone who has registered for the dinner - and it will have links to available recipes and a sign-up sheet for you to select the one that calls to you!
Step #2: Come to the Dinner! You do not need to bring silverware or plates - just bring your dish and whatever utensil you need to serve it! Please only make the recipe as-written - no need to scale up the quantity for this group. There is always so much food!
Step #3: Have FUN and enjoy a truly absurd amount of delicious food while hanging with fellow food lovers! Beverages will be available for purchase.
When: January 29th, 6 - 8pm
Where: Open Space Events Studio, 220 NE Lafayette Ave, Bend, OR 97701
The dinner is $25/per person. Please register and pay in advance below - space is limited!
